Etsy: We were unable to verify the business information you entered at onboarding.

Can anyone help? Etsy has flagged this message on the finance section of my account and they have put my account on Vacation Mode. This is the message:

"We were unable to verify the business information you entered at onboarding. Please review your business name and any identification numbers closely, make any necessary changes, and re-submit it for verification. You’ll have two re-verification attempts, after which your account will be locked.

If you continue to have trouble, please contact your local tax authority or applicable government entity, where the business is registered, for more assistance."

Now I can't sell anything even though all of my business information is correct and I have submitted documents to prove it. What do I do??!! Etsy is my family's and employee's only source of income I'm freaking out.

I'm in the same boat!  I've been selling for almost 3 years and nothing has changed on my end.  I received the same message and I've been trying to contact Etsy to have this resolved.  It's so frustrating trying to get support from Etsy.

Did they put your shop on Vacation Mode as well? How long have  you been trying to contact them.

Yes, I've been put in Vacation mode as well.  The shop has been down for 2 days, I just got a generic email from them directing me to etsy help sites that I have already reviewed.  We need human interaction to resolve our problems!!!  Every day is lost revenue.

@3dPrintPiggy  :  Every eMail from Etsy Support will have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that to keep the report alive (or reply to the eMail with "I Still Need Help"). You may have to do this innumerable times before anything is done but do not give up. If you have already contacted Etsy DO NOT open a new issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile).

OK, I have submitted a copy of my Certificate of Incorporation, and my shop is no longer in vacation mode.  This is progress!!

Hi, you can upload it in the same place where person ID's for verification are uploaded. I was advised to do it from etsy support. But I did it not just once as it was not resolved. I sent it in emails too - not just once. And finally it got resolved. Just do not let it go until it is resolved.

Hi, Thanks very much for your reply. You mentioned "sent it in emails", is it like the below i did? Or there is other emaill to send documents?

I clicked "community and help" then " email" to submit the company documents there 2 days ago. Now "your shop is on vacation" not shown, but the notice of "verify business information" still shown on "legal and tax information". 

Probably i need to submit the documents again until it resolved:(

Will update the results later if i get this solved.

I had exactly the same thing. Did you open the support case on Etsy ? Just keep that case open, send emails with attached documents (you will have someone from support sending you emails when you open the case) and ask them constantly until it is resolved. Do not open a new case. Just wait for reply - can take 3-6 days. It took me a month or more to resolve it.

I'm having a similar issue, no matter how many times I enter my business info an error message pops up. However, only at the bottom of the page when I submit. The tax numbers are correct, I even got stamped proof that they are. Spoken to so many chat admin and not getting anywhere. All saying different things.

I had very same problem and this discusion helped me. So message maybe for other strugling sellers with same problem from Sovakia: In OR SR registration list my ID was with spaces. So I tried to fill it here on Etsy with spaces and I was allowed to upload business documents.

Ahoj, akým spôsobom alebo kde sa Ti podarilo nahrať výpis z OR SR? Dala som aj medzery na IČO ale aj tam nevidím žiadne "okienko" na nahratie výpisu OR. Ďakujem za odpoveď
