Etsy Put My Shop in Vacation Mode: no reason, no email, nothing in dashboard

Etsy unexpectedly placed my shop in vacation mode, and I wasn’t given any notification in my dashboard, email, or an explanation as to why. I’ve noticed other sellers mentioning similar issues recently, so it seems to be happening quite often.

For those who’ve experienced this, how did you resolve it, and how long did it take? With holiday sales on the line, I’m feeling very anxious.

I haven’t violated any policies, and I have a Star Seller badge. There hasn’t been a surge in orders or any overdue shipments, and all tracking numbers have been added on time.

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

You don't have the badges for quick replies or shipping on time.  Those are important and may have played a role in your vacation mode.  If you are just reselling items made by Creepovo, that could also be a problem.

You are reselling. These items are not handmade by you but by Creepovo. You also have no star seller badges, which suggests, looking at your sales, that these have likely been removed as you are violating Etsy’s rules.

Are you Creepovo? If not, you can't resell on Etsy.

They use AI to scan comparisons on the internet for images & text.

When the same images appear with different names or designers, then the system will assume you are reselling and remove your listings or in your case, your shop.

Etsy has 9 million sellers, they can not manually check everything and the AI does not know or is interested in reasons or stories. They see your images in your name, the same images in someone else's name and are designed to act upon this.

There are definitely some red flags in your store.

Are you part of the Creepovo team? Their website lists 2 people Olga & Max. Neither are listed as shop members in your About section.

What is your role in this group? You have no About section talking about you and how you make these items.

The Creepovo website says they have an etsy shop but do not give the name... are you the shop they are talking about?
Both you & Creepovo ship from Serbia but I question if you are just an agent for their work in which case you are only a reseller, not allowed here.

You have no EU compliant shop policies that include a gdpr.

My sister and her husband own the brand Creepovo, where they make spooky miniatures (not animals like me). While we work in related fields, we are not the same brand!

Occasionally, she helps me with promotion on her Instagram.

Could you please clarify which specific policy we have violated? Why were both her shop and mine blocked?

We were both Star Sellers, but Etsy removed our badges yesterday.

Were they selling your items in their etsy shop (if they had one)?

If you are not Creepovo, why even mention it?

You could say visit my sister's shop Creepovo but don't say your items are made by Creepovo when you make them. This is confusing.

You need to show video of you and your work process & talk about it in your About section!

Serbia is used as a fulfillment location; we live in Kazakhstan. Our customers have always been happy with our products. We’ve consistently created high-quality items, provided excellent service, paid all fees on time, and never violated any of Etsy’s policies. We’ve never misled anyone — we’ve simply done our job well.

Why are we being blocked for this?

I have absolutely same problem. 26th of November etsy put my shop on holiday mode. All orders are closed, no notification what to do. Page Ligal and tax information is not available to edit. Support doesn't reply! I desperate what to do

Obviously only Etsy knows why they put you on vacation mode.  We are trying to give suggestions based on the information given and seen in your shop.  There does seem to be some confusion between your shop and your sisters shop and perhaps being production partners and selling the same thing in two different shops.  Keep trying to get hold of Etsy for the definitive answer.

On the Creepovo website "About" page, there is a guy named Max that says: "I meticulously craft our miniatures with the utmost attention to detail and quality". So do you also make the exact same items as Max?
