Hi All, I woke up this morning to a message a potential buyer sent on August 16; it did not populate into my inbox until today. That is a week late! I contacted Etsy chat, and they cannot or will not rectify it because I don't have proof. How can I get proof? I don't screenshot my messages daily. So now my message response rate is down to 93% and this potential buyer has likely moved on.
Has anyone else experienced this glitch? It happened to me one other time, 3 years ago. But that message was only 3 days late.

Mine have been coming on time. But I don't like to rely on them, so I check into my Etsy Shop frequently (when it's open, and couple times a day when it's On Vacation).
I check frequently, at least 2x a day. This message was not in my inbox until a week after it was sent by the potential buyer.
That is the issue. I do not rely on notifications. Just very frustrating.
I don't rely on my email, I check frequently like Chillwolf, I got only two out of 4 order messages in the last few days, of course I lurk a lot so didn't miss anything. Oops you said message inbox. I always look with browser not the app too, not sure that would have made a difference in your case.

I do. It was not there. That is the problem. It did not even show up in my inbox until a week after the potential buyer sent it.
I just had the same issue. Suddenly there was a message from 4 days ago that wasn't there before. I check my app, dashboard AND emails every day, multiple times a day. No notification on the app, no email, nothing.
Bye bye star seller badge and bye bye customer I guess.
