I have no idea what Pattern is. I rarely get emails from Etsy explaining to me what to expect as a seller. This new stats view is atrocious and we should be able to set our stats to default "Etsy." Why doesn't Etsy design smart tech? What's wrong with their designers? The user experience on this platform has been a roller coaster for me as a seller.
Earlier I posted to another Thread about this. Etsy is messing with something. When I select my Dashboard, Stats default to "All Channels" (nothing is there in the way of Stats; I never noticed this earlier either and have never had a Pattern Site). I then select "Stats" (Left Column) > Today (it shows Visits). I then selected "Yesterday" (it shows Visits there as well).
I honestly wish Etsy would take the time spent tinkering with this and that (which doesn't need fixing), and use a fraction of that time on things which do need fixing and are critical (constant glitches, a myriad of financial issues, Hacked Accounts, etc.). I know I only rent space here. But it doesn't mean I do not have an opinion.
ETA: Here is the other large Thread.
Thanks for your reply! And sorry, I might be missing it, but I don't see a link to another thread. Would you mind posting it again if it's not too much trouble?
@CuratedVintageCloset I'm sorry, I forgot to post it. Typed my response but didn't put it in; Duh:)
Yeah, completely absurd change. Meh.
I can't imagine that this an actual change that will stay in place. It's too convoluted for that.
We're all in the same boat waiting for them to resolve this back to it's original functionality and operation.
As far as I can see, the drop down selector is the only change so far. They are probably still working on it. Is it really that much of a burden to have to select the view? Third world problems, just saying.
I wonder if it’s possible that Etsy is trying to centralize stats across all of their platforms? (Reverb, Depop, Pattern, Etsy…). That would explain the “all channels” option. Maybe there are sellers who sell on more than one Etsy property? Just a thought.
