Hi everyone,
I've had three US buyers purchase a pair of earrings off me and somehow have only paid my UK domestic price of £14 + free delivery. They should've paid £22 + free international delivery. When this first happened, Etsy responded very quickly on live chat and logged the problem, as well as crediting my account with £8 to make up the lost revenue. It's happened another two times but now they're not repsonding to live chat or to my emails? Is anyone else experiencing this glitch and can anyone tell me if Etsy live chat is working for them or are they just ignoring me? In the meantime I've changed my pricing so that buyers pay separately for postage but I want to get it back to normal ASAP. This is incredibly frustrating. Etsy, why won't you resspond to me? I need to reimbursed for the lost revenue and I need this glitch sorted out
Kind regards,
Amy
There does seem to be a glitch happening with the free shipping. This has been reported by other sellers over and over. You may want to search the forums for other threads that may have some help.
The one time reimbursement may have just been that one time.
If you cannot afford to ship, feel free to cancel the sale with apologies to the buyer.
@ArtDollsbyJD This has nothing to with the free shipping - it is the use of the domestic pricing tool that has created this issue.
I am sorry to tell you that Etsy has known about the problems with the domestic pricing tool for over 14 months now and has done nothing to fix it.
Keep pursuing them for reimbursement - it is their fault.
Exactly the same just happened to me again. Happened last week, contacted ‘chat’ and they refunded the difference, said they would report the issue. Just tried to contact them again to report the 2nd issue, and my chat screen seems to be frozen on the last convo and won’t recognise I am typing in it. Anyone know how I can use chat again?
I hope that your problem was resolved to your satisfaction.
I had a similar issue with an order yesterday. The order was processed with the buyer not paying the shipping even though the shipping was right on the invoice. Etsy even charged me a shipping fee. I want to get in contact with Etsy about this but can't find out where I can contact them. I've looked everywhere!!
