Etsy Buyer App Issue (possibly website too)

Hi has anyone noticed an issue with the etsy buyer app ive had 3 people try this all on android so unfortunately dont know if this issue is the same on apple. And they are all getting the same issue.

Open the etsy buyer app search for something that has sizes or variations click on the listing. Then click on the main image then try to choose a size or variation and the drop down menus are unclickable basically making the item hard to purchase or possibly impossible to purchase. I've been able to replicate this issue over 100 times i have also been able to replicate it on the etsy website through my android phone. 

Please can you guys try your apps and on the website a few times to see if you are getting the same issue.

Please try the app alot of buyers use the app more than the website so this is a good chunk of people not being able buy an item from stores.

Sorry to bump this thread up but 5 people I know are having the same issue with etsy as a buyer through an android phone. Please check your app and comment on this post if you have an android as this could potentially be effecting all sellers and half of our customers.

Ive noticed Etsy is mucking about with size options on the listing pages lately - must be a new test. Instead of dropdown boxes, there are single buttons for each available size option. I bet this is causing issues across different platforms since we all know they 'live test' stuff (eyeroll)

I just received a message from a customer that is trying to buy three items but cannot go through with the purchase because of some message settings. He received an email from Etsy telling him to reach out to me about it but I don't have any settings that would prohibit them from ordering multiple listings (I have no idea if this is even possible). I saw this thread and wonder if this hiccup is the cause. I want to help the potential customer but I do not know where to begin so if anyone has any ideas I would truly appreciate it:) Thank you.

This sounds like the scam that is currently happening on Etsy, Etsy will never tell a buyer to reach out to the seller. Did the buyer ask for your email address to be able to proceed with the order? If so it is a scam/phishing, send the message to spam and forget about it.

@MomsBackyardForest Echoing what @GalleryAntiques said. Be careful - this might be the start of a scam. Don't send them your email or take the sale off Etsy. It's better to lose one potential sale than get your shop hacked or worse.

Search the forum for threads containing the word SCAM so that you can familiarise yourself with their methods.

Make use to use the feedback on the app to tell ETSY about the bad experience. The APP needs to be replaced with a fully working one not tested live

The issue is still not fixed on the android app I have also spoke to etsy through live chat. The advisor did recommend I create a post on the etsy forums to see if anyone else is having the issue. We basically need enough sellers to recognise the issue otherwise its just me and a few sellers saying its not working. Please Android users check the etsy buyer app and post on here If your having the same issue.

I'm using the buyer app on Amazon Fire and the dropdown lists appear to be working correctly. I tried clicking on the main image first - it opens up full screen so you need to exit (X) that before you can select from the dropdown options. When clicking on the dropdown menu a window will pop up so you can select the option.

To everyone who replied to my comment; Thank you so much for letting me know about the potential scam risk! Makes a lot of sense because I am getting orders but just not that one person, it felt wrong. Thank goodness I asked you all for help first because I almost sent my email.
