I'm not able to join the Etsy Cyber Sale. When I click on the link to join Etsy's Cyber Sale, I'm shown a pop up window "Your sale is ready to go". However, I have not set up the sale yet. I had set up my own sale with the same code (cyber2023) in the Sales manager before the official sale started. I ended it since, but it's still hanging in the list of sales in the Sale manager (marked as "Ended"). I believe it's messing up the automatic link to the official Etsy's Cyber Sale.
I reported this to customer support on Oct 4. They said it was a technical bug and they passed it to the tech team. This still hasn't been fixed. The sale starts in 7 days, and I just want to participate. Can someone from Etsy's technical team please help?
Dod you get any response from support?
Support told me that they are aware of this technical bug and they are working on it. Unfortunately, there is no solution that they offered. It doesn't look like this bug will be fixed before the sale starts.
You will have use a different name
Explain please. Different name?
@CraftyBeadArt You will have to make a new sale with a different name.
So you are talking about a sale overall.
This is about Cyber sale.
@CraftyBeadArt I know what you are talking about. If you started the cyber sale and then ended it, you can’t use the same sale name again.
I can use this name again. The problem is I can't set CyberSale via link or message from dashboard.
I can do this only manualy, but this means it can't last longer then 30 days. And I'm not sure if this will count as THE Cyber Sale.
It automatically sets up for you. No choices. If you look in your marketing tab under sales and discounts you'll see the sale is scheduled for you already. You can't pick and choose anything. Mine set up automatically yesterday.
Not automaticly. I had to turn it on. But I wanted to change it, I couldn't, so I turned it off, and I can't turn it on again.
Once you end one of Etsy's one click sales you can't start it again. You have to set up your own sale. Etsy's one click sales include all items in your shop and cannot be edited.
Since chances of being featured are somewhere around nonexistent you are better off setting up the sale you want to run instead of Etsy's sale. If you really and truly want to run a sale for more than a month then set the sale up for part of the time and set up another sale for the rest of the time.
Actually, you're probably right. I thought about this featuring, but it's a stupid thought.
I also thought that maybe shops running this sale would be more visible in the search engine
I just clicked on the details link for the sale I created through the link and it has an Edit Feature. It looks like we can remove items from the sale. I am planning on doing this shopwide so I didn't remove any items. I am still new enough where I'm trying different things to see how they work for me. I can always end the sale early if the results aren't working out.
