Esty shipping calculator help

The new estimate shipping costs function (under HELP  in the shop manager) gives me 

a wildly different price than when I list the item. Same dimensions weight and zip code

charges show $80 more for shipping on the listing.

If I were to directly use Ship station, even the USPS.com, the price also $80 less.

I can use ship station, but not until an item sells on Etsy. Why would anyone buy anything

if the shipping is over $100 on the listing?

Disregard my first post, just needed to create a new package preference for one particular item, and the calculator worked just fine...Due to the variety of shapes I sell, I now have well over 200 package preferences and counting..!
