After taking the survey, I had more to add and am not sure where to put it. So here it is:
There is a HUGE teacher market out there.
The most common reasons why teachers do not post their downloads on Esty:
1. There is no section dedicated to the educational community. I post math worksheets under "Art & Collectibles Drawing & Illustration Digital" and "Toys & Games Toys Learning & School." Math worksheets aren't art or toys.
2. The download limit is too small (five downloads of 20MB). I do not sell high-priced digital downloads because they are larger files. I would have put it into Dropbox and direct customers there. The process is too complicated. Downloads need to be streamlined easily. If I can't sell high-ticketed items, I am limited in how much money I can make.
Etsy, teachers and homeschoolers cannot find products to buy. Educational downloads are different from the downloads discussed in the survey. Please reach out to me if you are interested in learning more about the teacher-author community and downloads work with teachers.
