I have not been given the badge because I have not provided shipping information for my orders but I sell digital products, I do not ship physical products.
Hello @SvgMarketSite,
We've double-checked the order that is affecting your Star Seller, and it appears that this is a Custom order. As of the moment, custom listings can not be created for digital items. This means that custom listings are physical listings, wherein you'll need to add a valid tracking number once it has been sold, so it will count positively towards your Star Seller. If you want to offer a custom digital item, you can consider setting up made-to-order digital listings in your shop.
Thank you very much!
Could be because of your trademark infringing listings.
@SvgMarketSite: Have you checked the applicable CSV file from your Star Seller page to see if Etsy thinks there are any orders without tracking or which shipped late? Perhaps some of your listings are set up as physical (which requires tracking for Star Seller) instead of digital?
FYI, Sellers who break Etsy's Terms of Use can be permanently stripped of their badges.
And their stores.
You cannot use Mickey Mouse, sports teams or Wednesday Adams to sell your products without a license. You’re infringing on the intellectual property of others. Bigger problem than a star seller badge.
I wanted to respond but... no
Just curious on why you use other people’s images instead of making some up that are just yours. Every listing I saw was an infringement unless you were able to get a license and permission from whoever owns the image.
Right now Disney is suing a couple who have an Etsy shop and shops elsewhere. There is no telling how much the lawyers alone are going to cost. If they lose they will probably lose everything they own and have to file bankruptcy. They will never get out of the hole they are digging themselves into.
Pro teams are hard to get a license for but check some colleges as many do give permission.
Greek letters are fine unless they are from Sororities and Fraternities.
You might want to take a short vacation mode and do a little more research on trademarks and copyright laws.
Everything is alright until it suddenly isn’t. Many shops make a lot of money selling Disney items but can you afford a lawyer good enough to go up against them?
Are some of your designs customised? In other words are some listed as physical items and emailed to the customer after personalisation? Those items would need to show tracking. You can buy a stamp label from Etsy for around 50-60 cents and use it to send a receipt or confirmation that the file has been emailed to the buyer. This will satisfy SS requirements.
If that is not the case, and all your items are instant downloads, then you will need to contact Etsy. However, even if they agree there was an error, they will NOT retroactively give you the Jan badge, they will only fix it for the Feb badge.
