Emails not being sent when orders are placed!

I’ve tried to raise this as part of a previous thread where people are seeing the same issue. But it has been marked as closed and resolved when it hasn’t!

Please don’t tell me the solution is to set my ‘notifications’ when I have already stated in my post that this has been checked and is NOT the cause of the problem!

I am not receiving emails when orders are placed - either prove the emails are being sent by forwarding a copy and I can investigate my end or accept that the mails were not sent and investigate the cause of the issue and solve it on your side!

Hi, I've seen other Threads like yours, where Sellers are not receiving emails when they make a sale.  I received 2 yesterday, and the emails came immediately (knock on wood). But that is not the case for other Sellers, and I don't know why (wish I did).

I posted in that thread that was closed, which was only from April, and is an ongoing problem.

As I said in that thread, my emails for everything Etsy stopped, and I didn't receive any for over a year.

Then I started getting emails only  for forum posts, or to renew listings.

Just recently, I was happily surprised that I started getting all emails again - for sales, shipping, messages, purchases, etc.

Not getting them for my Etsy purchases was most troubling, as I wonder how many buyers are not receiving emails for their purchases.

I had previously added all Etsy email addresses, as recommended by Etsy, but that didn't change anything.

Something got fixed, for me, at least, so that I started getting them again.

I have notifications set to receive ALL etsy emails. The only one I get sometimes is the etsy success one and that only comes once in a while.

Etsy notifications work perfectly for me. Every time I make a sale, my phone lights up, makes a sound, and those little icons pop up like fireworks. Same thing in my Gmail.

Honestly, my family celebrates every ding like we just won the lottery. My dog even does a happy dance. Lol.

I don't even LOOK for emails.  Checking my shops 1-2 times a day lets me know when I have sales.

Your email provider may not be fowarding to your box.  Etsy and your email provider are not playing well together.  This problem has existed for years and has never been fixed.

To that end, I use email as a back up only.  I don't rely on it.  I check my shop at least twice a day which should be done anyways.

To those that say they check their shop, yes, I do, too. I am on my shop every day, I see the notifications for sales here.

I received emails with no problems for years.

Then they were sporadic, and then they just stopped completely.

When the emails stopped coming through, I wasn't even getting them for PURCHASES. How many other buyers aren't getting them? They don't have shops to check, nor accounts, even, if they are guest buyers.

I haven't had a problem with receiving email messages from any other site.

I am glad that mine from Etsy are once again coming through, but it is a problem that shouldn't be dismissed.

The emails alerting me about new sales have definitely stopped working for me for about a day now.

I thought it was just my issue, but I've seen that others are experiencing the same thing.

I hope it gets fixed soon!

The problem is still ongoing and hasn't been resolved

I have checked, and my settings are correct both on my Etsy account and with my email provider. I haven't changed anything on my side.
