I made a mistake a selected the incorrect carrier for a few orders. Unfortunately, the "missing tracking info" has now affected my shipping percentage for my Star Seller badge. Super frustrated.
The edit option claimed to be in the Etsy support steps is only valid for three days after adding the tracking number. In addition to that, I have NEVER been able to edit the tracking when entered incorrectly even if the mistake was made minutes after catching the mistake.
And Etsy support? I can't call or email a real person to attempt to rectify this issue. I continue getting sent back to the original help page. That is not helpful. It's frustrating.
So much for a Star Seller badge. I've only ever earned it once. Good luck coming back from this.
You do have only 3 days to edit. I have done so when I made an error.
It helps to use a postal service that integrates with Etsy such as Etsy labels, Pirateship, etc. The tracking number is added at the time of label creation eliminating possible transpositions or left out numbers. It can actually save money to use Etsy labels or Pirateship.
If the Etsy message bubble is not available, use Contact use under Community. Go to Selling on Etsy then picking a link closest. You are looking for "I still need help' to send an email. Some topics may not allow as Etsy feels the information in Help may have the answer.
Not knowing what device or browser you are using being returned to the help page may be due to device OS system or browser if they are not up to date.
Etsy won't make changes for the star seller. Sorry. I tried once for this exact issue and was told no. Fortunately I checked the number and could change it so it was then accepted.
@HandmadeMommaBear - if you use Etsy labels, you will never run into that problem.
