Good day. The ETSY website does not take into account the tracking numbers that I added. Two tracking numbers due to which my rating has decreased.
1) The first order No. 3627465065 This order has already been delivered, the tracking number was added on time, but the site does not see it. Delivery was USPS
2) The second order No. 3667438757 The tracking number was added with a delay of 1 day. Delivery Nova Poshta. The parcel is on the way, but the site does not see the tracking number.
Help solve the problem. My rating has decreased due to a problem on the site.
You are not speaking with Etsy here, we are all just sellers like you, who share our experience and expertise.
Etsy uses an automated system to compile your stats for Star Seller. It is very basic and simply looks for a valid tracking number (which their system can follow to verify the package was received by the shipper for delivery to your buyer) and checks that that tracking number is entered correctly and within the time allowed. If they cannot see the information behind the tracking number, or cannot verify you shipped within the time you stipulate in your listings, it is marked down. If you make an error when entering the tracking number they will not be able to follow it. If you use a carrier that is not trackable by Etsy's shipping partner, it is marked down. Remember also, that the calcualtions are based on Etsy time, so if you are in a different timezone, you have to take that into consideration and be sure to enter tracking promptly. It is also not a good idea to leave it till the last day in your delivery window, as the time difference can mean that is too late on Etsy's end.
If you contacted Etsy and they sent you here for assistance, that is just because there are limited topics that the Help Desk staff can deal with and the seller forums are often more knowledgable and can help with issues. I hope all this makes sense, and please don't stress too much about Star Seller, it really isn't as important as Etsy would have you believe. I have only had it a grand total of 6 months in the 4 years it has been in place, and it has had no discernable effect on my sales.
@NEworkshopUA: First, you need to check the applicable CSV file on your Customer Service Stats page (previous review period for May 1st badges and star) to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.
"Delivery was USPS" Star Seller is based on shipped, not delivered, so the verifiable tracking number needs to be of the initial courier.
As mentioned by others, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
Not all shipping carriers are recognised by Etsy. This is a problem for many countries outside of the US and there is nothing you can do to fix it, sorry.
The carrier is what determines whether or not tracking is recognized. If you are using your postal system or FedEx, DHL, etc. that is what has to be selected and then the tracking number for the carrier, You can't use USPS because you do not have USPS in the Ukraine.
Tracking has to be entered the day you shop and marked complete. It has to be done within your processing time frame. If you add tracking the day after you shipped then the conclusion by Etsy is the item is late. The actual delivery is not part of this for service level standards or star seller.
Etsy uses Aftership to monitor tracking. When you enter a carrier, check to make sure that the tracking number and carrier are matching. If you select wrong carrier or it slips then Etsy recognizes that as no tracking. And the marking complete and adding tracking has to be done the same day you deliver the item to the carrier.
