ETSY SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT

ETSY SUPENDED MY ACCOUNT.......All my information is correct , IE ssn, my name, address. Busness name. bank accounts and they have never changed in 43 years but Etsy is telling me I have a invalid SSN. I was even on line with SS thinking that my number was stolen but that is not the case!!!!. I need my sales to support myself and ETSY freezes my account? Where did all my listing go almost 1200 of them. I still have 4 orders to ship and I can't use my funds to ship them. You cant get a hold of anyone. This is rediculous. When I scroll down it states I am verified. So which is it. I now have to wait 48 Hours for them the validate me. Mean while I need to pay my bills. I can see them holding the amount for the orders I haven't shipped but NOT ALL MY FUNDS.

Is everything shipped on time?

It could be that other sites have stolen your photos. Etsy has been suspending a lot of shops because of that.

Yes everything is sipped on time I have 100% 5 star reviews for shipping. I will check for the photos as I have had that happened in the past .

Double checked everything. All good, site is back up and running. Now I need so orders

Your situation looks different to the normal. Your shop doesn't show a typical message put there by Etsy when they suspend a shop.

Your shop homepage is missing the payment icons. 

Have you tried to contact Etsy Support?  If you go to https://www.etsy.com/help/contact and choose the closest options to the issue, after you've selected a few options a grey button will appear which says "I still need help" - try click that to see what contact options they provide for the issue.

Yes just did it like 10 min ago. Thank you. My phone just rang once and hung up. If I dont get a responce soon. I'm going to call the investagative News team and see if they can get throuigh to Etsy

Well I finally got the call back after calling the 2nd time. They gave me the run around again. put me in tears. I was literally pleading with them to fix the issue and  I was told that a different team is looking into it and unfortunately they dont give call backs and you cant call them....

my issue is that I uploaded my tax data over a week ago and I am still suspended.  I replied to the email several times and no response.

Seeing you have no payment icons in your shop leads me to believe the problem is on your finances and/or taxes page.

Check to make sure that the info you have entered here regarding your name is IDENTICAL to the way it's written on your SS card, and that your address and phone # are identical to the way SS has it filed on your account.

So no Susan Smith in one place, and Susie J Smith in another.

@osewpretty: Etsy has always taken a better safe than sorry attitude and this forum is full of what seem to be glitches and errors.

But two things to consider - first Etsy does not seem to be very good at communicating what is actually going on and based on other posts in this forum the information and advisories in two different places can be contradictory.

"... have never changed in 43 years ..." Secondly the ever increasing legal verification requirements can very easily mean that something that passed verification yesterday might fail today because the requirement has become stricter.

The point is my ss did not change, my tax number has not changed, bank account, my business or my personal name did not change. All of which are the requirements to sell on Etsy.

I have the same issue.  They asked me to verify my companies information (we are an s-corp because we are an actual brick and mortar as well.  I did that, and now I am in vacation mode.

@Brazosglassworks Your shop has one of the standard messages Etsy puts on a shop when they're verifying information. I hope that yours is processed soon.

On the otherhand that kind of message is missing from @osewpretty shop so it seems to be a different type of issue.

The problem is we are losing money because a computer decided we didn't do what it wanted.  When what it wants is impossible to provide.

your correct When I tried to send the proof files Etsy froze up and would let me. Then it stated there where to many attempt and to try again tomorrow. Then I recieved a message everything was a go. Last one day and Etsy shut me down again

OP, you have a tremendous number of sales and that should be in your favor with Etsy. On your About page, the icons are all baby faces. With Etsy's new policy limiting how children can be posed, I wonder if Etsy is checking further into your shop and staff. Are you the only shop worker?

@osewpretty  Oh good gravy!  I'm sorry that got added to your pile of worries!

I'm sure you will eventually get back and running.  I think it definitely has to do with your financials, since there are no payment options in your shop.

Easiest thing to check - not sure if it was mentioned - is your Credit card up to date - not expired - in your Billing tab?  Usually an expired card just makes your deposits get held up in your Payment Account.

Other than that - what was your first issue that started this?  Were you asked to re-verify?  Because I needed to do that last year.

Etsy told us that they were making the forum for sellers only.

Why haven't they done it?  I haven't heard another word about it.
Was that just an empty promise to make the peasants put down their pitchforks?
