Duplicate purchases of the same item

Last night I done a shop update.  When I do these, my customers always rush to try and purchase my ghosts.  However last night, Etsy allowed two buyers to purchase the same item, and then the first buyer somehow managed to buy it AGAIN (don’t ask - this customer goes crazy trying to buy everything before anyone else gets a chance 🫣).  Anyway, I’m just not sure HOW the same item was allowed by Etsy to be purchased THREE times when there was only one available.  Can anyone shed any light?

There is another thread about this happening.  It must be another of Etsy's non-stop glitches.  It shouldn't be possible.  As soon as the first one is sold it should immediately zero out that listing for other buyers.
