Duplicate orders from 2 customers within the past 2 days

What are other sellers doing in this case? - I just received two duplicate orders from two different customers within the past few days. I tried messaging them to confirm if they wanted to order the same item twice (within a few minutes of each other), however I haven't heard back from them yet.

Has this been happening to any other sellers recently? It's very odd. It seems like it's probably a mistake or a technical error however I can't be 100% sure.

I have also seen some recent posts that some customers are having technical issues with the checkout page on Etsy - so I'm not sure if this is the case.

If I don't hear back from my customers soon, I will have to ship their orders, however they may not be happy to receive 2 of each item.

Try emailing them.

Email as mentioned above as well as messaging.  If you do not hear back then I would ship the items individually as purchased, not together.  If the buyer is unhappy about it and logs in they will see that you did attempt to get in touch about it but say that you are obliged to ship the orders by a certain date so that is what you did.

Other sellers have reported this happening this morning. Seems there is a glitch, as the customer eventually replied and informed the seller it did not initially showed up as a purchase so they purchased it again.

Yes it's a glitch, thank you for letting me know that other sellers have reported this also. I just heard back from one of my customers and she said that she only wanted the one order.

Yes, last week a buyer's order came through 3 times, but only one was intended.

Yes!! I’ve had a BUNCH of these and no one is getting back to me when I email them!!!  It obviously still hasn’t been fixed!

Yes i am experiencing this too! I used to be able to actually talk to someone at Etsy…

anyway, this has happened to me twice now.

I thought this was resolved as this hasn't happened to me over the past few weeks, so for anyone that is still experiencing this - I would recommend calling Etsy support, as they will likely need to create another support ticket for this.

I can’t seem to find a tel number for Etsy support, i have called them in the past, but i didn’t retain the number.

I found the page to request a callback from Etsy support - it's not easy to find as you have to go through many hoops to find it - and I never remember how - however here it is - for those that need to submit a ticket:

Any etsy support number you find via Google is a FAKE. You can request a call and they can call YOU  but they do not have a public published number. Those are scammers who will rip you off at the end of that number.
