Duplicate messages sent and responded to one, then got dinged for not answering .

Hi There,

A customer messaged me on 3/11 at 8:39 and I answered at 9:59, The same person messaged me on 3/15 at 9:02 and I replied at 10:35, the same customer sent a duplicate message on 3/15 at 9:23, which I concluded was answered at 10:35, however somehow it was a different thread, so I got penalized for not answering . So confusing, any help would be appreciated:)

Go back and mark the duplicate as spam.

All initial messages must be answered, doesn't matter if from another seller telling you thanks, a buyer duplicate, your bff, or spam. The bots do not read messages, they see a message not answered and ding the seller. Actually the messages are one of the things we have control over. Youcan spam it now to see if it will go away before the end of month, but do it now as last few days do not count for this month.
