Dozens of "Add to Cart" pop up messages

Hi All,

I recently favorited a couple of items from two different shops and since then I have literly had dozens of pop up messages  telling me to add the item to my cart. It's driving me crazy and I can't make it stop. 

I'm sure it's some kind of glitch in the system at Etsy and I did just contact them by email. I messaged one of the sellers and told him what was happening and he was shocked. It wasn't anything he was aware of.

Have any of you run into this situation? I'm worried that the same thing might be happening to the people who favorite any of my items.

yes you need to delete all of your favorites.

to make it stop.

I'm sorry. I don't like it either.

Etsy, in their rather strange way of looking at retail, thinks that people are more likely to purchase from us if we follow them around the store saying things like ....

"You looked at it aren't you going to buy it?  Didn't you like it enough?  I thought you liked it?  C'mon, I know you'll like it!  Buy it!  Won't you just buy it? BUY IT, ALREADY!"

You try to shake them by leaving that store and going to a different one.  But they follow you to the next store and the next, horning in on every listing you try to look at until you get fed up and leave. 

It's not a glitch; it's intentional on Etsy's part.   Is annoying buyers so much that they leave also intentional?

Adding the item(s) to your cart does make those pop ups stop.  But then you'll start getting the ''Don't miss out on this item in your cart!''  pop ups.

Hurry!!  There's only 15 left and in 1 cart!

It's intentional ... and super annoying. I'm about to delete favorites and start just doing screen grabs and saving on my personal laptop. Most of the things I favorite are not with an intention to purchase, but to monitor because I have a similar item.

Way back when ETSY started, we used to favor things in other shops to support each other and so I continue to do that.  And I sometimes buy things from revisiting my favorites but having them pop up every time I login??  No! It's annoying for me and I'm absolutely sure it's VERY annoying to any perspective buyer who favorited one of my items!!  So that means I'm losing sales! (And my sales are very few and far between already)
