Do your buyers know how to add a gift recipient's address?

A buyer purchased an item and marked as a gift at check out. No address for recipient.

I just happen to reach out to her about shipping next day. 

She replied she "wished" the gift could be shipped directly to the recipient. She mentioned there wasn't an option at checkout. 

(I didn't ask if she was using desktop or app.)

How does a new or frequent buyer know how to add a gift recipient's address?

On the desktop there's no directions other than to mark as a gift. Not sure what's on the app.

Yes.  My buyers haven't seemed to have an issue with his.  They add the address and name directly into the order where it needs to be shipped.  I often receive messages stating what type of family member or friend the package is going to which is always nice to hear about.

Etsy only asks for the shipping address.

It's pretty much common sense that you input the address you want it shipped to. Regardless of whether that is your address or your giftee's address.
