Hi,
I've had a customer contact me about being unable to use my discount codes because there is no box for her to add the code on her checkout page. Is there a problem with this on other shops at the moment or is it just me?
thanks in advance for any replies
Louise
I just added an item to my cart and there is a "apply shop coupon code" available.
I see the problem. the code requires a min purchase of $10. You don't say that in your shop announcement.
The codes for the discounts and minimum amounts are posted on my shop banner. The customer knows she has met the minimum amount for the highest discount as she has said she has quite a few items in her basket, but she says there is nowhere for her to enter the code. No link to add the discounts showing up on the basket or at checkout.
@TriskelionPapercraft: "she has said she has quite a few items in her basket" But does she have enough of YOUR items to meet the minimum in your shop?
I saw it but I used a browser not the app
ahh I wonder if that's the problem? The customer didn't say specifically whether she was using an app or a browser. I'll ask her and see.
thanks
Ok, so apparently the customer is on her computer and not using an app, so it's definitely some other problem that's causing the problem.
Are you running a sale that’s more than the coupon code?
I didn't have any sales on, but have started running one today as that was the only way I could think of to allow her to get the discount.
@BagmakerSupply The customer said the items in her basket were all from my shop.
She's also tried using several different browsers but it's the same problem on all of them, there just isn't anywhere for her to add the code or a link to click to add it.
@TriskelionPapercraft I put several Listings in my Cart and was able to apply the SAVE Discount Code
Have you checked where the Customer is actually looking for the "Apply Shop Coupon Box"?
In your Shop I can see it immediately under the last item in the Order. To the right, under the Payment Summary, the Apply Etsy Coupon Box is also evident
@TriskelionPapercraft Just an idea. Why make the Buyer take the extra step to manually copy the SAVE30 Code and Manually apply it at Checkout?
It looks like you have set up "Promo Code" aaaaaaaand not a "Sale"
You can set up a "Sale" for 30% Discount on Orders with a Minimum Spend of 10 Pounds and, once the Order in the Basket reaches 10 Pounds the Discount will automatically apply
I hadn't thought of that before. I have put one on this morning. I have three discount levels for 10%, 20% and 30% with minimum spends for each. Can I do a sale for each amount or am I only able to do one 'sale' at a time?
I put items in my cart and the apply coupon code was there even when I didn't meet the minimum.
I would message the customer the link (nt the code) and when she clicks on the link and shops the discount will be automatic when she reaches the minimum.
It's good to know that others are still able to see the 'apply coupon' link etc. and it's not disappeared for everyone.
I'll try emailing the link as you suggest and see if that helps.
Thanks
