Can someone please advice on why I can't upload my digital file (it doe not give me an option to upload) even though in my listing I checked DIGITAL PRODUCT? Who made it: I did, What is it: a finished product, When was it made: made to order. It should then give me prompt to upload my file, but it does not.
Try the duplicate feature on the listing you already have - then edit it.
Because made to order digital doesn't allow you to upload the file.
Made to order, means you get an order, then make it, and then upload it to the order.
If you want INSTANT digital listings, where you upload the already completed file, you need to chose a date not made to order.
Hi, thank you for your suggestion. I went back into the listing and chose 2020-2023 and still not prompt for me to upload my file.
You've probably confused it.
Select the date as 22-23, and change to physical, and then change to digital and it should open the option.
However, as nineteen below says, if you're offering personalisation, it needs to be made to order, and you don't upload files.
I finally got it! Ok, so to be able to upload a digital file, I would need to pick "Digital product", a date made (not made to order) and make sure to not check "personalise". Thank you for your help.
I've tried it and it still won't give me the option to upload, only to add Production partners for this listing. Very frustrating.
you are offering personalization.
so it has to be made-to-order.
you cannot upload a file.
if you have no idea.
what the personalization will be.
Thank you. It works! Ok, so to be able to upload a digital file, I would need to pick "Digital product", a date made (not made to order) and make sure to not check "personalise". Thank you for your help.
ok, i've went back in and removed personalisation and still can't download.
Hooray! Ok, so to be able to upload a digital file, I would need to pick "Digital product", a date made (not made to order) and make sure to not check "personalise". Thank you for your help.
Just to confuse everybody, I'd like to point out that it is indeed possible to use the "Personalization" feature on instant download listings. I have it activated for all listings in my shop, kind of like a "read and accept" blurb for buyers to indicate they're aware they're buying a digital item and that they have to use a browser (and not the app) to download it.
So Etsy is not restricting the "personalization" to only made-to-order digital.
