Digital download PDF changes

I sell digital download patterns on Etsy. I have 3 questions:

1. If I change and upload the digital file (under the same name), will my customers who have already purchased the digital pattern have access to the new version when they go to their account , Purchases, and click on View Downloads?

2. If I add a new digital file in addition to the original file, will my customers have access to that?

3. Would there be any easy way to notify previous customers of changes?

Hi, so I’m pretty sure that previous buyers wouldn’t be able to see the new changes or have access to them. If they are major in the fact that something was wrong with them, then I would maybe send those buyers a message with the new pdfs. If it is just a change you made, then i wouldn’t worry about it, those costumers knew what they were purchasing, and (unless they reached out) we’re happy with it. Just a thought ☺️

When a buyer on Etsy purchases a digital order then the files attached at that time are what they will always have access to.

Etsy doesn't provide functionality to notify buyers of new versions or updates.

No, they will only have access to it as it was at the time of purchase. You would have to email or convo the buyer with the update.

the buyers will only download the digital files when they bought them. If you have any changes about the files in the listing, the customers will not download the updated files. You can email the new update via email address if you have any update.
