Everyone here knows the importance of having the Star Seller Badge for the holiday months. I worked hard to make sure that I would be awarded the badge for November and I should have received it, however they are saying I was 1% off on shipping and tracking time. This is simply not true. I can see on the CSV (which states that it was calculated on Nov. 1) that there are multiple October orders unaccounted for. I can also see the CSV for today (Nov 2.) and now see all those orders; and yes it does show that they were completed in October. If all the orders were accounted for I would have been awarded the badge but there is an obvious miscalculation. Is there anything I can do / anyone I can contact about this issue?
@Alcoholwics: The confusion is because of poor wording of the rules by Etsy. Based on our analysis of the CSV files, it appears that messages are assigned to the month that the 24 hour reply window ends (not when the message was received or answered) and orders are assigned to the month that they are scheduled to ship by (not when they were placed or shipped). Orders will not show up in the CSV file (or Star Seller calculations) until the month they are scheduled to ship in. And dates are determined by UTC not the sellers timezone.
Also, there is no evidence that being (or not being) a Star Seller has any effect on a shop's sales. Etsy is test and data driven and if they could prove that being a Star Seller increased your sales they would be shouting it from the proverbial rooftops.
So, you're saying that all of your orders shipped within your processing time and had a tracking number, but Etsy says they didn't?
Of about 30 orders, 1 order was late for processing time. I think my last order shipped out was Oct. 27, but the CSV only shows orders until Oct. 23. They all contained a tracking number. When I viewed the CSV today which reports for December's badge about 13 missing orders completed in October are now being shown. It shows a 94% when in reality it should be closer to 97% which would have made me reach Star Seller
