Did they do an update?

I don’t know if it’s me, my equipment, or Etsy having fixed something that didn’t need fixing. Start with equipment:  iohons 15 pro max, and iPad 10, both running the most current updates. 

issue: in the app, on either platform, … where do I start. So many issues. 
1.  Can’t click on the tracking number to see where the item is in the flow. We used to be able to just tap the tracking number and it would bring up USPS tracking. Simple and easy. Now, the tracking isn’t available.  Apparently you have to copy the number and then paste it into the USPS website to track. I’d love for someone to explain how that’s better. 

2. In messages, you get the whole bit about why you’re receiving this email because you live in the americas or Ireland and it’s from your customer.  But instead of showing you the message when you open it, you have to sift through the thread to find the most recent message. I don’t need all that bs about why, I just need to see what my customer wants.  

3.  When creating a listing, instead of giving you options for your item, you have to search, hope you’ve picked the right words, mine are usually easy enough, jewelry, vintage, necklace (etc), sterling (or whatever it’s made of) it never gives me a selection for vintage. Overall I hate the listing format. Tell me there’s an easier way. I use the app, 99% of the time. Maybe the website is more direct?  

I’ll stop there for now. But this all seems to be new recently. My apps update in the background so I never know it’s been updated until I realize that they screwed it up. Your guidance would be much appreciated. Before I got the new equipment, I had iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPad 8. No problems with them.

When I go to completed orders and click on a tracking number for a customer's shipment, it will open the information in a panel. Then at the top of that order info, I will see the tracking number. I then click the tracking number and it takes me to the USPS site showing where the package is in the process. Is this what you are talking about? Because it is still working for me.

@GiosGems: This may or may not be the answer to your issue, but Apple seems to like to make breaking changes to its ecosystem.

As to your point #2, the message is still in the eMail, it is just "hidden" in such a way that an eMail client will not display it. This is clearly a reaction to all of the people who were blindly clicking on links in the eMail copy of scam / phishing Etsy Messages which the recipients mistook as legitimate eMails from Etsy itself.

Others in the past have discussed issues with Etsy and IPad.

1.  I can click on tracking number.  I use Edge and Windows 11.

2 Messages on Etsy or messages in your email?  I have copies sent to my email.  You no longer see the message.  You have to log in and look at messages.  The message should be at the top in Messages. 

Not sure what you asking in number 3.  When I copy, the category is right there.  If creating new, I type in a word, drop down opens to select category.  I use the new template and again am on Edge.   I would never use the app for listings.  Far too buggy to do things I need to do.  I use a browser even on my phone if I need to do something.  I really am a computer user for Etsy as Etsy was originally designed for computer use.
