Dear technical people at Etsy,
Can you please help me (again). Today I have send (with track and trace) an order (brought it to the postNL office and is was scanned) and again it remains marked as 'pre-transit'. If I select all my orders marked as pre-transit, it is a pretty long list. But each and everyone was send in time with track and trace, has arrived and was reviewed 5 stars. Please help!
Thank you,
Groetjes uit Holland, Inez
@lovelinez - The forums are not a direct link to Etsy so the replies you receive here are just other shop owners trying to help.
It's probably been at least 3 months since the first thread started on the issues with PostNL and I have yet to see anyone mention the problem has been fixed.
The only way I can think to explain it - there is Etsy & the tracking information they display on a buyer's order page (& what a shop owner sees on their orders pages)
But Etsy uses the company Aftership to link to and update that tracking number information. Aftership does not necessarily recognize all shipping companies & possibly not all country's postal services.
However PostNL & tracking numbers were at one time recognized by Aftership. At one time it was suggested that the shop owner had to use a different class of service to get them to recognize the tracking. But apparently that doesn't work now.
I get the feeling that somewhere along the line PostNL or Aftership may have changed something - the "tech stuff".
If PostNL made changes, one would think Aftership would update their operation to be able to link to them.
It could be a coding error or something that Aftership did, and either they're not aware of the problem or are not rushing to fix it.
It's definitely frustrating. Hopefully the "pre-transit" is not hurting your Star Seller stats.
This is common on Etsy. I'd say all sellers have shipments still marked In Transit from a couple years ago. Nothing to worry about. The actual tracking link will show as delivered even if Etsy doesn't. You have all your Star badges so you can see it doesn't affect that either.
