I tried to access the member approval page from both of my accounts (this and GoToSupplies) that are team captains but access was denied so I can't manage their request. I clicked the link in the email notification of a pending member; the error said:
"You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action.
Click your browser's Back button to continue.
Return to my original page"
Since I was clicking the link in the email I received I didn't expect not to have access, and as I don't see another way to access team member management I cannot do anything when I'm on the regular team pages either.
The management of team pages has never been right since Lithium took over. Frequently team leadership suddenly gets these messages that they don't have sufficient privileges to access the pages they need to to oversee the team. It is quite ridiculous. About all you can do is keep trying to contact Etsy until they finally look into it and correct the problem.
@dayspringcollectible Thank you--I wrote support 4 days ago and no reply so I thought I'd try here too.
I'll keep the thread open in hopes admin will have some input too--like it's being worked on would be nice to hear.
On the team I help lead we keep having a multitude of glitches show up. We'll think we finally have everything working correctly again, it will be fine for a while, then suddenly another glitch shows up.

And since then, etsy announced an overhaul of the team pages, which resulted in no ability to create a team anymore, and then nothing seemed to happen. It's almost like they gave up....
Well a month later Etsy hasn't replied to my email request for help. This type of lack of respect for sellers is why I stopped showing my face around the forums and teams.
That's too bad. Etsy's loss.
And all the sellers who come here for help.
You were one of the best customer service providers that they had.
But then, after what they did to Katwise, nothing surprises me.
" ....they paved paradise, put up a parking lot."
@GoTo the fact they aren't updating Teams or fixing bugs says to me they will eventually be phased out. They just don't have the time to do it.
They stopped respecting sellers many years ago.
@OneEyeCatStudio Thanks--I loved helping folks and learning stuff too, international selling (from worldwide shipping to understanding how people in other countries interact and how to understand how it applies to communicating with customers), the section where folks discussed different techniques in crafts I'd never seen before just to name a few...
Wow--just read about Katwise, unbelievable. I miss the old days--and you guys--but any time I try to come back, the things I see... I can't even bear to shop here anymore. I report 10 identical items all for sale here by multiple sellers linking to them and the same item on Amazon, Aliexpress, etc.... None removed--at the very least one one of the sellers on Etsy could be the one to have done the handmaking. It tells me things are still the same with resellers and reporting. I will probably list some stuff just to see if it brings traffic (picked up a new hobby and now goods are piling up around me, lol), but it's hard to be enthused.
@cindylouwho2 I bet you are right about just doing away with them, but I feel bad for the newbie sellers who have been trying to join my team looking for how to do things right in business-wise NY and I can't allow them access. It's amazing that you are still going--more power to you!
Those were some mighty forums we had in the beginning, and we were all sure teams were intended to be the death of them. (Just checked one of the old timers threads--I'm member number 6650.)
@GoTo miss those wonderful forums that drew me into Etsy so much in the beginning.
My team is mostly non-active now, in part because even though I am signed up for notifications, I never get any when someone posts. Just another type of email I don't get any more, and Etsy refuses to fix the problem after several years of issues.
Glad to see you and I hope you are well!
I was the only one left that had access to accept or deny membership to the EMT. Now that I can't do it, there several waiting to join and we have close to 300 members. It's not a big group but it is a specific artist medium team. I feel like they are trying to retire us.
