Hi!
i had been tracking since yesterday to receive star seller. I thought i just had to wait 24 hours for the transition. However its still not showing up and when i go to star seller in my shop it comes up as all locked and the sales value and the sales count tabs have disappeared (not there at all). I calculated that i would be getting it for December so i know i had more than enough sales to get these. The other 3 requirements show and they are all green.
December ratings are an average of the last 3 months.
I understand that
Did you have $300 in sales from 9-1 to 11-30. Check your stats to see.
On Shop Manager page scroll down from today to custom - enter 9/1/23 to 11/30/23 and it will give you your total sales amt.
Has it been 90 days since your first sale?
Yes. See the link I’ve added in the original post
Has it been at least 90 days since your very first order? If not then you don't qualify for the star just yet.
Read comments. Yes it has. See link in original post
When was your first order? Nothing in that photo indicates that it's been at least 90 days since your first sale. In fact it suggests that it hasn't been 90 days yet. It even says something about you becoming eligible after 90 days at the very top. My page does not say that which is why I'm thinking that the 90 days thing is the reason. Check the date of your first order.
edit to add, looking at the photo again and I'm pretty sure it's the 90 days thing or you aren't eligible for it for some other reason.
If you look at the very top where it says "Earn all badges you're eligible for to become a Star Seller". On the left of that is a star icon and a closed padlock meaning it's locked which means you are not eligible yet.
@WitticismsRus Thanks for your reply. first sale was in October so definitely in there. Literally had green for both sales count and sales value requirements and now it’s showing as they are (gone). So odd
I edited my reply as you were typing to add the bit about the padlock on the icon.
If your first sale was in October it has not been 90 days yet. Even if it was on October 1st then it's only been 61 days. You won't qualify until it's been at least 90 days.
Oh and those other 2 boxes with the total sales # and $ vanish once you reach those metrics (5 sales and at least $300). That's totally normal and intended behavior.
Just adding a link to Help Center article that about the order count and $ bits vanishing once you reach them
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How-to-Become-a-Star-Seller-?segment=selling
if you scroll down to the bit for Orders and click to expand it says "This section will not appear in your dashboard if you've already met the 5 order minimum. "
Same goes for Sales if you click to expand it also says "This section won’t appear in your dashboard if you have already met the sales criteria. "
They both vanish once you reach them. So that's totally normal intended behavior.
Your link only shows the first 3 requirements. Did you also have at least 5 sales and $300 in the correct time frame though?
That’s what I’m trying say! The sales and the sales count requirements disappeared. I calculated for the new quarter I would be getting the start seller. Yesterday it was saying it would take 24 hours to complete. Then I found that those two requirements disappeared!
@ArtfulAdditionsCo Those two requirements will not show if you have met the sales and dollar amount requirements. Also, keep in mind what you are seeing on your dashboard now is for the Jan. star.
Did you qualify during the last couple days of November? Those last days don’t count. Also just know that a lot of people don’t like clicking on random links so they won’t. Me included.
i qualified way before the last days of November. But why don’t they count?
Also it’s an iCloud link and it’s not my fault Etsy doesn’t let you attach screenshots 🤦🏻
Etsy doesn’t have time to calculate it overnight so it’s always been a couple of days before the last day
I find that strange given Etsy specifically says the period days are from the 1st to the end of the third month
What was the date of the very first sale you made? It needs to be prior to Sep 1 for you to be eligible to receive the badge on Dec 1. You have 12 sales and 2 reviews, the first review was in mid November, if that was from your first sale you probably don't qualify yet. Regardless of whether you meet all five requirements, if your first sale was less than 3 full months prior to the award date of Dec 1, you don't qualify. Think of it as a dress rehearsal, once the date of your first sale passes the 3 full months mark, you will be eligible from the next badge calculation.
@ArtfulAdditionsCo: Keep in mind that what you see on the Star Seller page now is for the January 1st star using data from October, November, and December. You need to look at the previous period tab to see what numbers were used when the December star and badges were calculated on December 1st using data from September, October, and November.
