Deativated Listing due to "not being handmade"

My Listing was deactivated for not being handmade although all 300 of my products are handmade by me and all of the others are fine and have been fine for years. I've opened a case but have not received an answer in over 6 days. Any advice for getting this offer active again? They are custom size rubber feet and I own the Brand /  Trademark /  Copyright as well.

Any help would be appreciated

You might consider listing them as a supply under raw materials >rubber. They are more of a supply for furniture making than a handmade item. They used to have carpentry supplies/hardware under supplies but they moved it to a handmade category earlier this year.

To qualify as handmade you would need to supply production assistance info and I would also make CLEAR in my about area that you are the copyright/TM holder on these and have them produced soley for you to your design specs. I would also add that info to the descriptions to try to end run people reporting your shop as reselling.

I wonder if it has anything to do with your mention of companies like NITTO and 3M in your photo's as these folks also make and sell rubber feet - among other things.  I agree with the above - you'd be better to list as a supply but I'm not sure if keeping those trademark names in photo's will continue to be a problem or not even if you're only using their adhesive products as part of your own.

yeah I'd get rid of the 3M and other names. Editted..I see you have an agreement with them. Unless they personally report you you should be fine.

I wish - the problem is we don't know if Etsy's bots are reading images and auto-flagging trademark names or as another poster scathingly mentions below - these are being reported by other sellers... which has become a sort of sport here lately.

I used to list my mohair suppliers on my items as some buyers look for those specific brands in creations - but I stopped doing it for this very reason.

@vathventures: Did you receive any reply from Etsy to your case? Often the first response you get from customer support is an automated reply meant to weed out the people who contact support over common issues that can be easily solved.

Every eMail from Etsy support should have a link something like "I Still Need Help". Click on that link in each reply from Etsy (or actually reply stating that you still need help) to keep the report alive otherwise Etsy will assume that the issue is resolved. You may have to do this innumerable times, before anything is done but do not give up. DO NOT open a new issue or contact Etsy multiple times about the same issue (doing so closes the one you already opened and puts the new one on the bottom of the pile).

@BagmakerSupply

I received the typical automated reply and went to the "I still need help", explained the situation and was told that I would receive a response in 1-2 days. That's where it stands right now. I make hundreds of different rubber feet for just about anything and use the 3M adhesive on just about all of them and have a working relationship with them so I don't believe 3M to be the problem. I've been working with them,  NITTO and other for the last 20 years and have never has this issue on any platform. Thank you for you suggestions.

Re: Deativated Listing due to "not being handmade"

I have never had this problem before so, no I have never posted to the forum before. I never imagined something like this would happen since I design, produce and own the trademark to ever rubber foot I make. I stopped selling everything else which had a reference to any other Brand name simply to avoid the people which have nothing better to than to report it as a violation. I just want Etsy to clear this up.

You need to dispute it as a legal listing and get it cleared up with Etsy as if you do not it remains as a black mark against your shop which may impact your shop now or later.
