Day 2 - Listing Form wont allow vintage items

I have seen many posts suggesting this has been going on longer for others but Etsy incompetence means I cant list vintage items  - simply because the core details area wont allow me to say someone else made an item

I'm not having this problem myself.  As a workaround until Etsy can address it for you, have you tried duplicating an existing vintage listing and creating from that?
