Pretty minor, but worth noting if you like to track the relationship between traffic/orders and time of day:
Recently, my Etsy day changed from a 12am (midnight) start to a 5am start. However, the timestamps for orders still follow the 12am start day; for example, an order that came through just after 6am this morning registered as 11am on the daily stats (5 hours late).
Little problem, little fix (I hope)?
Just in case you aren't aware...you aren't reaching etsy here. They changed this to a peer to peer support forum a while ago so it's just us sellers here trying our best to help each other. If you want to reach etsy then you will need to contact them directly.
Thank you for your response! I do suspect they keep an eye on the forums, as this issue was addresseda few days after I posted. I have absolutelyzero luck with the people who answer emails at Etsy (I get responses, but they're mostly just copy paste from the Etsy Guides.)
And if you do get a canned response, keep clicking on I need more help. If you start a new ticket they think the old ones have been taken care of.
@FieldtripVTG: For some reason Etsy seems to have ongoing issues with time zone conversions. Presumably they store all data behind the scenes in UTC, and we often see where the same order date/time on the same page is converted differently when appearing in two different spots.
