Custom listings never work why?

Hi all!

Everytime I set up a custom listing and the link goes into the message of the buyer, when they click on it they cannot purchase so then I have to go into my listings and find it and click on share to get another link to post into the message.

What am I doing wrong????

@CurtisMerchandise it's not you doing anything wrong.  The newer version for Custom orders thru messages is barely functioning.

Thanks ok I guess Etsy should have left things alone.

It used to be one of the best features Etsy developed - maybe aside from the variation drop down list.    Now it's....difficult to use if it works.

Well - for years we asked for the ability to create more than one custom order from the same convo thread.  They gave it to us!

And now it's ironic if you start multiple threads with a seller because it could penalize them if they don't reply to all.

Also can't add photos to a custom order. I couldn't anyway..I tried finding the listing in sold out, still couldn't. Tried renewing the listing even though it had sold could then edit it but couldn't save the photos as it wouldn't let me renew. Got "Oops something went wrong". I think the something is ETSY...
