This is the third time my customer has not seen the custom order link in our conversation. The blue/orange box doesn't come up, and they ask me what I'm talking about. I must go to the listing outside of the message and then copy and paste the link from there. Anyone else? It cost me a sale this past week... They said on the chat I couldn't report the issue without customer convo screen shots from the buyer, as if their comment that they don't see a box or link wasn't enough. I didnt feel comfortable asking them for screenshots of their message account, so I didn't.
You can only create a custom listing from a message the buyer has sent you. It won't show up if you send the first message.
It was in the buyer message. from the create custom order button.
The buyer had to initiate the message, not you. You can always create a reserved regular listing.
It is in the buyer-initiated conversation. Using the Create Custom Order button. So have you had this issue?
I had the same issue, buyer said Etsy did not send them the link for the custom order. I had to go in and copy and paste in messages. I asked them to not use the app but a browser (just a hunch because the app seems to always have issues) and then they were able to see the link and checkout. Hope that helps!
I think they were all three on their phone apps after all. Hope they find a solution to this issue
I believe this is happening to me as well. I am making a custom listing and copying the etsy provided link (save on fees!) and then pasting it into the convo between my customer and I. When they go to click on the listing I provide it takes them to my etsy home page and not to the exact item I am linking. I am frustrated! It's happened to three or four customers since last week.
Thank you, yes. I am hoping posting here will get some leverage to the tech side of Etsy. Yes the link goes to my home page too. Hope they can figure it out soon!

It has been happening to me too. I click on custom order and then I sent it to them and they cant see it. Cost me a bunch of orders. This never happened before. I'm wondering if it's because they are on their phone app as opposed to their computers.
Been happening here to, another Etsy glitch that’s going to take forever to get fixed.
