For the last week, my custom digital orders have been automatically marked as 'complete' by Etsy whenever someone purchases them. Now, I have to reach out to customers and explain this glitch and, I have to attach the completed file to the chat for customers to download. It's like the old school method all over again before they implemented custom digital listings.
Reported this to Etsy twice now and it's still not resolved. They claim someone will email me about it but I doubt I'll hear back. They almost never follow up via email when the chat bots can't resolve an issue. With all the outrageous fees we pay, I expect these types of inconveniences to be resolved immediately. But that's besides the point.
Wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this problem lately? Haven't seen any recent posts on this but surely, I can't be the only one.
There have been a few threads of this happening.
Go in to the listing to edit, use the old listing format, and make sure it's set to made to order and digital. Try changing to physical and then digital to get it to stick.
It is indeed a glitch.
@MoonstoneSaltsSpirit Looking at your recent items, which I assume include relists of your recently sold listings, I'm seeing both the "spirit guide messages" and the pendulum how-to listings as digital downloads, whereas the akashic and "what's blocking you" show as handmade.
Those are the only ones I checked. Are you using the "made-to-order" digital format?
Thanks for checking my shop! That's strange because I sell these all the time and it's always been the same settings: "digital, made to order". I just went through and checked them all in the listing settings and they are still set up that way. Nothing has changed. Some prompted me to 'apply' the settings, even though nothing changed. There is definitely a glitch here but maybe now that I've opened them all, this will fix it.
