is this why so few coupons are used? I have a screen shot of a coupon I received today that is blocked out with this huge oval. I don't believe I can post it here. Please give me a place to show you.
Where did you receive the coupon? Etsy messages, email or someplace else?
Since no one has mentioned this before in the forums, I seriously doubt it is the reason so few coupons are used. If not used immediately, most forget they have them.
It sounds like you have an ad or other extension covering the coupon. Ad blocker will do this at times.
I have not problems with coupons sent via email.
Mine have always been as you described. I assumed it was something to do with aol, so I just forwarded it to another one of my emails and it looks fine.
The coupons thru Etsy work just fine for example the abandoned cart coupons. I use them all the time. Not sure about email coupons. Are they coupons you receive from other Etsy sellers after a sale? That's the only way they would have your email address.
Etsy doesn't optimize their email marketing for many email applications - for example, I use outlook on my laptop, and most emails I receive from Etsy have overlapping graphic elements, photos that appear huge, etc.
Unfortunately I think the only thing you can do if this is the case is use a different platform (for viewing Etsy or other problematic emails), such as viewing the email on your phone rather than on your computer, or use the cloud-based version rather than your local email client.
@SunshineAnnieDieCuts: What eMail client do you use? Some do not display HTML eMails correctly.
