So I just got an e-mail that I had a message from a customer. I used to actually get the message from my customer, but now it seems like Etsy has "improved" communications by now just telling me that I have a message. How is this an improvement?
I know people need to justify their jobs by continuously "improving" things, but really there is no good reason to do this. If you really want to improve something, make the app not give me the same notice every time someone favorites one of my items as when I get an actual message that needs a response. Is it really too much to ask to have clear communication instead of getting fifteen pings in a row that a customer has favorited all my items. I really just want clear communication too and from my customers. Please, please!
Thanks,
Tom
Sadly, Etsy keeps fixing things that don't need it. I cringe wondering what the next "improvement" is going to be.
Just FYI if those 15 pings for favorites is on the app you can disable that notification. That one drove me insane I had to disable it.
This. The only notifications I get are for messages and sales. And I only get sound notification for sales, not messages. I don't see reviews, favorites or shop favorites in my feeds.
