Constant scam messages
Hi, I’m new to the platform but have been in business since 2010. I’m astonished at the amount of scam messages sent to my inbox. All have a similar format, they ask for verification by inputting banking details.
they come from various users pretending to be part of Etsy.
is anything being done to stop this?
Im worried I’ll miss genuine messages

Re: Constant scam messages
Real messages from Etsy will be in the 'from Etsy' section on the message page. If the 'etsy' message is not in that section, it's not from Etsy and you can safely mark as spam. You will need to do this (and see the section) on a browser, not the app. This is the only way to help Etsy stop the scammers.
Read the hundreds of threads about known scams and be wary of anything that seems off.

Re: Constant scam messages
Be careful of every message you receive and don't provide any information via message and don't click on any links they send.

Re: Constant scam messages
They tend to target new sellers.

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
