I don't know if this is the right board, but I just got the yellow banner on my dashboard that said confirm or don't get paid. Ok my sales have been great the last 3 months, I made it to star seller, I go in verify, and they wanted my DL uploaded, so I did that and as soon as I hit submit it said thanks we'll take a look, could take a few hours or a few weeks, until we verify you are on vacation hold. WHAT? Why in the world should I be on vacation mode because they are verifying? I've been selling on here for a solid year, no issues, did the verification as soon as they asked and now I get to go on vacation mode for maybe a few hours or weeks until they verify my DL, during what has been a fantastically busy time for me. I don't get how that is right to do to a seller. Especially when I have been literally killing myself getting stuff into my shop and listed to keep it fresh. I'm super frustrated with this right now.
Your shop is not on vacation mode
Your shop is open and I can put items in my cart. Either Etsy is catching up really fast or you were never in vacation mode.
yes you are correct, the yellow banner just disappeared and it said thanks for confirming. I'm sorry I panicked!!! thanks for responding to me. crazy mode turned off!
ok. I saw the email come through first and I remembered seeing the scam info warning so I deleted it and went over to my dashboard to do something and saw the yellow banner telling me to do the verification, so I figured it wasn't a scam and it wanted my DL uploaded it. Then I saw that vacation mode message and I'm freaking out because I've been working so hard on this stuff I was having a meltdown. I'm sorry if I jumped the gun and posted here about it for hopefully nothing.
As others have said, when I go to your Shop, it is not on Vacation. I'm not understanding about the Vacation Banner; there is none.
@ChillwolfArt - When the account verification process started, or possibly topped off with the new 1099 reporting requirements, Etsy made various statements.
I think I remember them saying Vacation Mode would be initiated &/or that shops would be able to sell items but they wouldn't get paid/deposits until everything handled.
That Etsy is not the best at communication at times I think anything is possible when it comes to the banners a shop owner might see in their shop manager. Or what an email might say.
I think it's a glitch. I just submitted my documentation and there was a message saying it would take up to 2 days to verify and my shop would remain in vacation mode. I was like say WHAT!
Can anyone verify for me that my shop isn't in fact in vacation mode. On my end it still looks normal.
Nope, your Shop is open and looks normal.
While I understand the impulsive response is to freak out, and I'm sure Etsy could have worded it differently to avoid the unnecessary stress, it always helps to verify the validity of a situation before doing so (and not just here, but in life in general).
