Hello everyone,
Yesterday, 11/9/22, Comcast Xfinity had a major outage that affected my ability to complete a shipment. The outage affected many areas from 3:00PM to 11:30PM. My service provider was down causing me to have to go to my husband’s work to ship out the order. My Star Seller Stats indicates that this was a late shipment. It was not! I printed the label at approximately 11:00PM EST and completed the order. I do not understand why this is considered late! Could someone please enlighten me as to how this is considered late. I’m really upset as this is totally incorrect. I had emailed my customer that it might not be out in time. However, like I said I processed the order on 11/9/22. The system is showing it processed on 11/10/22, which is incorrect!

Yes Late- You admittedly printed the label at 11PM ... No US PO is open at that time.. It is not the printing of the label it is more the shipping of the label that counts. If I print a label at 5:30pm I am ok.. but if I do one at 6PM-- it is past the the cut off time and goes on the next day's mail.
If you are running late.. no matter the circumstance you can always change the ship by date to one that works for you.
1 overdue stat should not make or break your star status if you have other sales this month.

Re: Comcast Xfinity Outage affecting my on time shipping and tracking
I was without power and internet for a while after a major storm,
I had to travel to a location where I could get internet access, and travel where the PO actually had power, so I could ship.
when did you actually ship? - if you shipped late, you shipped late, it's just one of those things

Re: Comcast Xfinity Outage affecting my on time shipping and tracking
It's not when the shipment was processed, it's when it actually ships.
For example, say I had a shipment due to go out tomorrow. But, the post offices will be closed tomorrow due to a holiday, now that the post offices here are closed for today the first day I can actually ship the item is Saturday. Even if I buy the postage tonight, Thursday, it's still going to be late as it won't ship when it's due, on Friday.

Re: Comcast Xfinity Outage affecting my on time shipping and tracking
I tried to process the order from home at 3:00. That is when comcast was down. Comcast was working again at 11:30PM, 8.5 hours later. The post office was open at 3:00 and I would have gone to the post office at that point. I’ve never shipped anything late. As someone who has never qualified for star seller, this is what matters to me.

Re: Comcast Xfinity Outage affecting my on time shipping and tracking
We understand, and we know it can be very frustrating. Unfortunately it's too late for this shipment, but now you know for the future that if there's any rush, then it should be brought directly to the post office instead of waiting for service to resume, especially if you don't know when it is going to resume.
As someone who went the first year without ever getting SS, now that I have it, I can say it hasn't helped me one bit. Mine was pure luck that I qualified, as I've never focused on getting it, and since I've felt no benefit since having it, I'm not worried about keeping it.

Re: Comcast Xfinity Outage affecting my on time shipping and tracking
The order was shipped late. Creating a label at 11:00 pm means the order cannot be shipped that day, no matter who was at fault.
We've all had power outages, sometimes for days on end. It's extremely frustrating.
