Clicking X on cart pop-up removes from cart!

As much as I hate the cart pop-ups on Etsy - clicking the X to dismiss the pop-up is removing the item from cart today.  It's happened several times, I've tested it.

Can someone else test?

When I get the Pop up or "Slide Over", about "Don't miss what's in your cart", I can X that out and it still stays in my cart.

If I hover over my cart, and it will say "View cart and Check out", I can X that and it gets removed from my cart.

On PC with Firefox.

It looks like it's just showing a drop down of my cart. If I have two things, it gives me an X by each item and lets me delete whichever one I want.

Don't know if this is how it usually is. I don't usually cart things for long.

@PillowDetails  - About two hours ago I carted one of your items & one of @SmudgePlant 's listings. I 'X'd out' all the pop ups that kept reminding me there was only one left, or the other new variations of pop-ups I'm seeing that refer to my cart. My cart was never emptied. I had to go to my cart and click on 'remove'. 

Not to say that there couldn't be a glitch that affects a minority of people and for it to be inconsistent on it's "appearance schedule".

I'm on a laptop/W10/Chrome.

I'm not crazy, because this is happening again.  I add an item to cart, continue shopping.  When I get the pop-up, there is only one X in the corner, and assuming it will dismiss the pop-up window, clicking it removes it from cart!

Just tested mine and it didn't remove anything. I'm on Windows 11/Duck Duck Go.

I am currently a buyer only and I have been receiving that pop-up for over a week and there is nothing in my cart.  I also looked at my saved items and it's not there either.  It is rather annoying, I've tried everything to get it to stop telling me "don't miss out on this item in your cart", and there is nothing there. If it is a glitch, I really hope Etsy fixes it soon.

I have a notification that won’t go away … so annoying!  I unfavorited an item yesterday because of the pesky pop up reminding me there’s only 1 left … I already purchased it last week!

This is probably part of the test.  Etsy never tests one thing at a time, they do as many variations as they can think of when they test.  This is probably the reason for the different results rather than the different browsers.

I'm now getting two different cart pop outs regarding something in my cart - the original small rectangular one that's been annoying me for a while and now a larger square one that just recently started annoying me.

The small one appeared first, so to test, I x'd out.  The item remained in my cart.  The large square popped out literally one second later, so I x'd out and the item was removed.  

I guess x'ing out/removal depends on which pop out the OP was getting?

Same thing just happened to me. I've been clicking the x for a few days but the item never left the cart. When I clicked it just now... poof... gone. I also stopped getting forum emails a few days ago. Things seem to be getting pretty glitchy around here lately. (windows 10 desktop, chrome)

A week later and I (a buyer) am still getting a pop up for an item that's not in my cart, not on my favorites, not on my "save for later" and I didn't purchase it.  I can't figure out where it came from, it's not something I would even purchase.

It also keeps telling me it's 15% off and the time less carries from day to day.  Yesterday it said 4 hrs left, now it says 27 hrs left for something I can't figure out.
