Chat Transcript No Longer Being Provided

Hey yall

I was informed today that with the "new Etsy chat" transcripts are no longer being provided. Can anyone confirm if this is factual?

There is no way to download or receive a transcript of the chat. However, there is a workaround. Just highlight all the chat and paste it in a document. That is what I do.

The issue with this is proving the validity of this is questionable. There is no recourse with this method as editing html code, photoshopping images, are all too common nowadays. An email w/ an official chat transcript is much more concrete.

Perhaps, but it is better than than having nothing. Why Etsy chooses to prevent us from getting a copy of a chat makes one wonder if they are doing things they don't want found out. Perhaps not, but it does put a shadow over the process. 

Another option would be to go section by section of the chat and do screenshots. Any digital document can be altered so I am not sure what difference it makes. I am pretty sure that an expert can even manipulate an email.

I requested one from another company yesterday and they emailed it to me immediately. So I don't understand why Etsy would not do the same thing.

It most likely has something to do with the anti arbitration clause that just went into effect. Thanks for the suggestions @GroundZeroCreations

Probably because you cannot put stock in what shat tells you.,... LOL..CHAT..leaving that typo.
