Charged for order I did not make

Has anyone been charged for an order they did not make recently ?

Maybe your credit card was compromised. Call your cc company.

I did. I canceled the card and filed a dispute.

I received a message from a seller that my order would ship in a few days.The problem was I did not place an order.The money was taken off a card I have used  once to purchase on Etsy.It wasnt the card I have linked to my account. I know that etsy was running tests in my shop during this time because my open order numbers changed from 11 to 111 momentarily. I taleked to etsy chat and they said someone would get in touch with me.I recieved an email at 300 in the morning and nothing since then.That was january 5th.The other seller doesnt know what to think.She didnt want to cancel and refund in case it was a scam.

Call your cc company immediately.

I'd be notifying the credit card about the charge, cancelling the account/getting a replacement card.

Do a thorough scan of any & all devices you use to access Etsy - whether your shop account or a buyer account if you have a separate one.
Keep a close eye on all your financial matters - shop account, bank account & credit card linked to your shop, etc.

I think that there was a glitch and Etsy caused this.I wanted to know if it happened to anyone else.

@rivertownvintage  - There have been some strange things occurring. At least two threads I'm aware of where shops reporting that their accounts somehow hacked (??) but then only used to send out the recent spam messages trying to get financial info. from other shop owners. 

Honestly not sure what is going on but it appears everyone needs to be vigilant about everything.
