Cannot adjust my thumbnail

Keep trying to adjust a photo that is off center and keeps saving it the same way over and over !  Can someone please fix this.  It's really annoying that a simple adjustment to photo placement is this messed up

I have been going back in about 4 times and redoing it and saving it and it finally saves.

For the past five days this is happening to me! I'm SO frustrated. And usually it will FINALLY work after redoing and saving over and over (which is annoying in itself) but even that isn't working.

I tried different photos, even made NEW listings, cleared cache a million times, and the same thing happens every time. I know from time to time the thumbnailer lags but they usually resolve correctly after a while, finally. Now not only does it LAG but then they are always OFF-CENTER! I emailed Etsy and have gone back and forth for DAYS with them.

I know it's not anything on my side but they won't really do anything to help. I mean, I'm not doing anything differently -- same computer, same photo editing process, etc., for YEARS. They just look horrible ... and I've wasted so much time! Ugh.

Yes, indeed; it's very annoying.

I just retook some photos, to better (I hope!) show detail.  I made sure they were appropriate size/shape with a nice clean background.  In short, I spent rather a lot of time fiddling around trying to do better.  Then I upload to etsy, and the thumbnails are wrong...despite going in several times and redoing the framing/centering and thumbnail size.  *sigh* So very frustrating!

As I said before, I made new listings for the two "problematic" ones (deactivated the old ones). The NEW listings behaved the same way! Offcentered, unzoomed thumbnails!

Last night I replaced everything in the two deactivated listings with completely NEW product info -- photos, description, etc., just to see if what would happen. 12 hours later ... THE THUMBNAILS ARE OFFCENTERED!!! 

So I've been able to demonstrate that it's NOT a problem with a specific listing and it's NOT a problem with any specific photos on my part. 

I don't know what else to do. After going back and froth with Etsy for several days now they responded to my last email for a couple days. 🤷🏻‍

Same here.  But it seems random.  Some will work and others won't no matter how many times I try and adjust them.  For me, this bug has been ongoing for over a year.

Yeah, the not zooming thing has been going on forever! And random. But this off-centered thing is new for me -- just in the past week. But it seems to do it for every new listing I make right now. I'm afraid to touch any of the old listing to see if editing them will make THEM go all goofy.

I'm so frustrated. And they don't want to seem to acknowledge that there's even a problem. Of course, I've seen 3-4 thread here in the forums about it so we're not alone.

Same issue here - driving me INSANE! I have to readjust my thumbnail 10+ times before it finally saves. It's been an ongoing issue for a few weeks now. Really hoping it gets fixed one of these days.

So I heard back from Etsy ... AGAIN ... and this time they said they'd pass this "issue" along to the tech people. Said they're happy I reported it so they can see how "widespread" the issue is. Um, do they not read the forums? It's kinda widespread. 🤷🏻‍

No other suggestions or help. So at least I won't waste my time emailing them anymore.

But it might help if everyone who is experiencing this issue reports it. Not sure what the critical mass is for them to actually FIX it but pretty much all we can do.

Meanwhile I guess I'll just pre-crop the TN photo myself. Ugh.
