Anyone else having an influx of transactions that are placed and then automatically asking for cancelations? Is it spammers???
No, Has anyone listed a reason?
Its always the same.. purchased by accident
With the confusing cart / basket system it is easy to accidentally purchase more than one thing without knowing it.
I used to use the cart to compare prices... but I don't anymore because it's too easy to mix it up and buy the wrong thing.
Accept the cancellation.
Agreed. The 'buy now' button with my credit card at the ready scares me from looking at most things that are just mildly interesting. Slip of the finger and you've accidently made a purchase.
OP, it could be a competitor or associate of a competing shop. Keep the messages requesting cancelation and notify Etsy that it is harassment. Very often, a competing shop will think it can do your overall shop score damage by creating a record of purchase cancelations.
This was what I was afraid of...
I've recently had a "buyer" place order, asked to cancel it and then placed the SAME order again. Rinse and repeat. Etsy hasn't replied, so am unable to resist the items as this "buyer" keeps repeating this behavior.
I had a few over the last few months. If you sell on Amazon its a few a week. Its almost unreal. I think people using the cart as a way to save items for later is the issue and when they checkout they dont look at the cart or price.
