PLEASE HELP US SELLERS ETSY!!! Your IT Dept. is causing more and more Technical Issues that is making it hard for us Sellers to sell our products!!! Your constant changes are only making things worse! Before you changed your Listing Format things were Great. Now in the past twp years or so your changes are totally ridiculous for us sellers! We listen to your suggestions but they are not helping at all! Why do us sellers go thru a phase that our sales are great and then a month or so later we go to hardly any sales if any at all. Etsy, you make money off of our shops by us listing our handmade and vintage items and then us sellers making sales. I know this is happening because I see it all the time in the Sellers Forum. Does anyone from the IT Dept. ever read these comments? I sure hope so! Also, why do I have to keep clicking so much??? I am getting carpral tunnel due to all the clicking, constantly being sent to the Home page. Etsy, you claimed you were going to make listing items easier and better. You have made things worse. Much worse. Get rid of AI or whatever you think is helping us sellers sell our items because it is NOT working! PLEASE fix your SEARCH buttons! I have not received any replies to my emails I have sent to my buyers in the last month. I have not seen any new items going into the shopping cart. The views are very little. I have not received any ratings at all in the last month or so. This is all Etsy's fault. You contantly want us to give you more money by using Offsite ads, sales for items the few people have our items in their cart (99% or more of these get no sales) and for Return Buyers. A lot of sellers depend on the Etsy website to bring us customers. If we have to do every thing you want us to do with these why are we using the Etsy website? Many people have gone elsewhere and I can understand why. Especially due to all these Technical issues. PLEASE go back to the way it used to be. When your website actually was a nice place to be for buyers and sellers and more profit for Etsy. Thank you for your time.
I am completely in favor of change if it is done well, i.e. change for the better. Who wouldn't be?
But hamfisted, three-legged-blind-bull-in-a-china-shop changes? No.
most of what you sell, is for the largest organ of the body, the skin
and as it's vintage, it's way past it's use by date
who would want to put over 20 year old baby lotion (some over 40 years old) on their childs skin?
It would be illegal to sell here, not sure what the laws are in your country, but from my point of view, no way should anyone be using it
These items are mainly for collectors. Most of my items are colognes and if you look at my ratings you will see that over 95% of my buyers are happy with their purchases.
this is the one I looked at
It is for 7.5 oz. Net Wt. of Clearly Gentle Baby Powder with Cornstarch. It is Full, Never Used. The plastic bottle is approx. 6-1/4" high x 2-1/4" in diameter. It is in Excellent condition, especially considering this bottle is almost 40 years old!
.... just because people who have already bought old and out of date skin products are happy with them, does not mean future buyers have not become aware how bad this would be for them
Your market is diminishing, as people become aware of how bad this is for them, so therefore are your sales are going the same way.
It would be illegal to sell them here, thank goodness
I understand the concept of AVON Collectibles, as many of the bottles, containers have value but to list and sell the bottles /containers with the contents is a questionable practice as such items may have restrictions for shipment through postal systems...
I have deactivated this item per your request. BTW where are you located?
I am having a good read about remembering when.... Yes the smoking on planes and in movie theaters. The big round tub because we did not have a bathtub. Thank goodness we did not have an outhouse but I remember the party line for the telephone. Some of us are not that old but we have come though many innovations in our lifetimes, most of which make life much easier. Etsy has its issues but when I read the comments from sellers on the other E site and the A site, selling there has its challenges too.
I can relate to a lot of what you're saying. Right now I'm annoyed with Etsy's Personalized Option listing on devices. I have had to help so many people that are confused when buying a baby blanket on to where do you enter the name info that they want personalized ...if you're on a computer, it's easy to navigate. They also hid the description and you have to click on it to open it up.
It's not like this on other websites I shop from. I was told in a business class 10 years ago, A confused customer won't buy...I think Etsy is confusing people is why sales aren't what they used to be. And if I didn't get so many messages with people needing help, I wouldn't think much about the changes.
You're right, it's not the same as it use to be when it comes to sales.
And Yes for all the people that say deal with it....I'm looking into my own website so I can make
it more user friendly.
I used to run concessions for the local football team at the high school, the JFL and the park district concession stands.
I found that too many choices would back my lines up 50 deep at each the 6 windows waiting for someone to make a decision on what they want.
With the athletic director breathing down my next like a dragon, I reduced the "menu" by half and the lines started moving faster at subsequent games.
Totally agree on not confusing the buyer.
Over the years, I’ve invested significant time and creativity into building my shop, but Etsy has become increasingly difficult to navigate and understand. My listings have experienced a dramatic drop in visibility, and I believe my shop has been unfairly suppressed. The lack of meaningful support is disheartening—especially when minor issues, like a delayed shipment, result in punitive actions and threatening notifications. These measures have directly impacted my sales, leaving me with no activity for weeks. Given this experience, I no longer feel confident or motivated to continue selling on this platform.
