Can't upload any new pictures to an Etsy listing - help!

I need to add a picture to a listing with a product variant color that didn't come through Printful integration for some reason. But when I go to "+Add photo or video" and navigate to a folder with pictures (on a web browser - I tried Chrome & Safari with the same result) I can't select anything. I see the pictures, but they are greyed out. I tried adding a picture to another listing and saw the same behavior - can't upload any pictures. Can anyone please help me troubleshoot?

Have you checked to make sure your photos are all one of the right file types? You can find them listed on this Help page: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015663347-Requirements-and-Best-Practices-for-Images-in-Y...

If that's not the problem, you can come back to let us know, and hopefully someone can suggest another step in troubleshooting. In the meantime while you wait for more answers, you can use your time filling in the other parts of your shop. Now that you have a couple of active listings, you should be able to add things like policies, an About page, etc.

I appreciate your advise to focus on other parts of my shop, like policies and about page. I have not been able to find a comprehensive tutorial to walk me through everything. Do you happen to know what shop sections are required? For example is the policies page required? My listings appear active even though I did not complete this section.

Are you able to just drag and drop the files into the image section? That's how I usually add my photos, right from the folder. Too lazy to click all those times. lol

Thank you both! The combination of your answers helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. I didn't realized that I was limited to 10 images per posting, which is why I was not able to select any additional pictures. This was not obvious to me when I was trying to add an image by selecting it, but when I tried to drag and drop, I got a message about the 10 image limit. So thank you so much for taking the time to respond!
