Can't update listing due to "core details" issue

I have checked past posts about this but do not see a way to fix this.

I am adding alternative text to my older listing photos but when I tap "Publish Changes," I get this message: 

Please fix the following error in order to save your changes:

Core details

When I go to the core details section everything is correct and filled out.  I've tried refilling the core details fields, but the same message persists. I have tried this on my phone, my iPad, and my desktop on a browser and on my phone in the app.

Past posters about this issue have received the advice to switch to the old listing format, but I cannot figure out how to do that.  

I really want to add alternative text to all my listings because my visits and sales are up since I began this process a month ago.  I postulate that Etsy's algorithm favors shops with alternative text.  I don't know for sure though.

We can't switch to the old format anymore, that went away months ago. Once in a while I get that same message and it is because of the date made, or for a subcategory, for some reason sometimes it doesn't stick. I hate that you have to open Core Details to check it. One more needless click.

I get weird things like this happening to me too!  Eventually it works out, have you cleared cache, cookies, signed out & back in?

I don't even have the when it was made choice on the listings I'm trying to change. It just won't let me change anything at all and the form is all filled out. There is nothing else to fill out !!  SO frustrating!

Just struggled with this myself! Apparently the menu is longer than it appears on the screen, when the "Core Details" is opened, try to scroll down from where you can select who made it etc. 

I struggled so much but ended up trying in Google Chrome (usually using Safari) and apparently the menu was bigger than it appeared and you had to scroll down to add the rest of the details.

Have you tried using a different browser?  Sometimes there are glitches on one but not the other.  I am having no such issues and I use Chrome, Edge and Vivaldi.

I know you asked about core details, and this may not help, but I found the problem for me was the shipping category that needed updating. Some time ago Etsy altered the shipping profiles, which left one of my boxes blank on older listings. As soon as I filled that in I was able to save my changes. It may be worth taking a look at the shipping section anyway?
