Are you receiving an error message? What does it say?

If you can't respond to an Etsy message and it tells you that the user name is invalid - that's because it's a scammer and Etsy has already removed the account.

Are you seeing any type of etsy message when you try to reply? If so, what does it say?

If you are trying to reply using the seller app, maybe switch to a computer and use a regular web browser. If you don't have access to a computer, use the mobile web browser on your device to access your etsy account that way.

@MyLunaAustralia: In what way can you not reply? Are you using an app or a browser? Are you getting an informative message or error message? If so, what is it.

If the message is something like "User Name is Invalid" usually that means that the account has been closed (either by the user or by Etsy). Just in case, you should make sure to mark the message as SPAM (at last report you cannot do that using the app, only a browser, even your mobile browser).

Are you are getting the "Bummer, your messages have been temporarily disabled" advisory? Not to discount the fact that your messaging may have been disabled in error, generally it is because the system has detected that your account has been sending unsolicited non-transactional messages.
