All of a sudden I can’t create a new listing. It starts with the category section but only option shown is who made it. I hit the I made it button but it won’t go further when I hit next. I tried bypassing and was able to fill everything else in, but when I came to save as draft it wants me to complete category section first. I tried both Chrome and Safari and they were both same. I tried rebooting IPad to no effect. Don’t know what else to try. Anyone have suggestions?
Clean out cache and cookies. It sounds like a display issue.
Category is on the other page. Who made it is on the first page or box and has nothing to do with categories.
With category, you type in a category and it shows possible selections.
Or try using copy. If the new item can fit into a listing already created use that ability.
This category box comes up as soon as I hit the + to create a new listing. It asks who made it and year it was made etc. I will try clearing cache though it seems strange that problem would be both of Safari and Chrome
Use the duplicate feature on another listing then edit the new listing
Lots of sellers are having the same problem and from what I've read, Etsy is aware of it.
Read through this thread and see if it helps, if not use the duplicate feature and change anything you need to for a new l listing.
@TheStoneLab - after you enter who made it, are you trying to use the continue button?
It isn't shown clearly, but all you have to do is scroll down to the next question instead of hitting continue.
It then asks for when you made it, etc.
Once those 3 basic questions are answered, only then you hit the continue.
And the browser works much much better for listing than the app!
The issue is that it won't let you scroll down to get to those other parts.
@TheStoneLab On Chrome zoom down to 75% and let me know if it works.
I tried someone’s suggestion and held the iPad in vertical and that seemed to work. That’s a relief!
It worked for me, but when you use a smartphone for listing it makes the text so small that you can't even read it. And it changes the size of everything on your phone, not just the Etsy website.
I just contacted Etsy about this issue today. they are working on this issue, she asked me be patient they are working on it.
They've been telling me that for over 3 weeks now.
