Hello,
I'm wondering If anyone here can help me out. I have contacted etsy customer support and they have been no help. My shop has been suspended because I need to verify my tax payer information. My tax information SSN and name have already been entered and are correct. However, etsy keeps telling me I need to enter them, but they are already there! I thought I would try to re-enter them to see if that would unsuspend my shop, but there is literally no way to edit or select the fields of my SSN and name. The only thing i can edit is my address. I have orders I need to ship, but I can't because my shop is suspended. Etsy Support keeps sending me instructions on how to enter it, and I keep telling them that it's already entered and there is no way to select those fields to edit them. I really need to talk to someone on etsy who can actually understand me and help me fix this problem.

are you using a browser, and not the app?
I've tried both. And I've tried using multiple devices.
I am having the EXACT same issue ... and other than providing me with instructions (WHICH DO NOT ADDRESS THE PROBLEM), they are now not replying/responding to my help ticket. This is outrageous.
@BroadlandsBijou Do you have an email from Etsy about this? Take one email and respond back to it. Do not open multiple. Make sure what you state is simple, direct and includes all information needed.
Are you located in the US? Please add your location. Make sure the SSN or EIN matches the legal form of the name the IRS has for you. This also includes the name on the bank account. Has to be the legal form. No nicknames. IF you have an LLC, you need to include the tax identifier on a separate line and has to match what the IRS and your state has.
IF you file individual personal income tax and are an LLC but do not file tax under LLC, use sole proprietor and the SSN or EIN. IRS considers LLCs without employees to be disenfranchised and are considered sole proprietor.
That may be the issue. May not be.
Just take one email and respond back. Do not open several tickets. When you do that Etsy considers the first matter closed and at some point will not respond further. The method is to take the generic email and respond back to that with the information reiterated again.
I am so sorry! It has literally been a month for me. Is there any other sites similar to Etsy to sell on?
Contact Etsy. If you have an email from them, respond back that tax information listed is correct and Etsy verified but your shop is frozen.
I have. They just tell me that they are forwarding the information to the technical team and have no time frame for when it will be resolved.
Were you able to fix the problem? I also am having the same issue as well and don't know what else to do or who to contact. I have also replied back to one of their emails and keep getting instructions how to update or upload valid forms of ID. It is frustrating that I'm thinking of just closing my shop and reopen it.
@MagnoliaFleurPaperie This does take time. Closing and opening won't help.
Your location should be where you are . Using just a country does look suspicious.
If this is ID and/or tax information then did you upload that information? Was it accepted or has Etsy reached out for more information?
Bank accounts are verified through Plaid in the US.
All forms of name must match.

@ModAngie Would you be of some assistance here? Thank you.
@MagnoliaFleurPaperie The problem will still be there if you close and reopen your shop.
