I cannot access my cart here on Etsy. It’s taking ages to load and then I get an uh oh! A stitch has gone awry. I’d really like to use this $5 off offer but the cart isn’t working! Help!
When you had issues a few weeks ago and contacted support, how long did it take for them to resolve it for you? Or at least get you access to your shopping cart back? I understand the timeframe may not be the same today (being Cyber Monday and Etsy running a promo that is likely causing support to deal with more issues than normal), I'm just curious if it was like a same-day thing, or if it took them their normal 'processing times'.
Sorry, I can't tag you here, but you know I'm talking to you. So did you ever get access to your cart back? Even if I'm on another screen, it's not showing the preview in the top right corner like it normally does. Like I can't see my 'saved for later' or anything. Definitely fed up.

Unsere Kunden teilen uns nicht immer mit das der Einkaufskorb nicht geht, ergo ziehen sie weiter ( wohl auch eher zu den Plattformen wo die GRUNDLEGENDEN Sachen funktionieren)

Its so crazy to hear this!! I worked all weekend on my store adding items and promoting it via FB. Its as if etsy has locked the doors if ppl can't even make a purchase! There's a ton of competion, buyers will just become upset and go elsewhere. The day is over half over, this should be fixed!!🤦🏼
I have been trying for 8 hours to purchase from my cart and it doesn't allow me to. This means that most likely no one can purchase from my shop. Is anyone working on this?
Any chance this has to do with the latest IOS 18 update? I have two sites. I can't access the cart on either site from my phone. On my laptop I can access the cart and purchase on one site, but not the other.
I don't think so. I think this is more likely an improperly coded coupon code is causing the issues.
Plus, it's the opposite here. I lost all access to my shopping cart on my computer (not related to IOS 18), but I can still access and make purchases on my phone (in the app, didn't try a browser on my phone).
Okay so… I just tested this on my laptop. If I go to my favorites I can add something to my cart directly from my favorites. It takes me to my cart but if I try to edit anything in my cart it shows my cart as being empty. It doesn’t show the items in my cart anymore. It’s very odd. If I try going directly to my cart it doesn’t load at all. Tried reloading and it gives me the “Uh oh! A stitch has gone awry. Please try again later.” This has been ongoing since around 7/7:30 am Pacific time…
Edit: now I can’t even do that… it just says item is in your cart and it won’t take me to my cart. Sigh
That happened to me ALL DAY! I wasn't able to purchase anything using the coupon. It was a waste of my time and missed out on what I wanted to buy. Waited for Cyber Monday all month and what a disappointment. Everyone lost.
I finally was able to make a purchase with the code. I opened several tabs at once, all trying to access my cart, reloaded a few times, and got the cart to load in one of the tabs. This seems to be an intermittent problem for me.
It's way too much trouble to expect customers to go through to make a purchase. I just hope they're not annoyed at us for hyping a coupon that crashed their carts.
I switched over to my phone and was able to add something to my cart. I quickly scrolled down and removed the $5 coupon code from my cart and now everything is working fine. Guess I just don't get to use the code. Bummer! So, for some reason entering the code made my cart go haywire for the entire day.
While I feel bad for the individual shops that likely lost quite a bit of potential sales yesterday, I hope the damage was significant enough that it's a reality check for the Etsy higher up and proves they need to get their s*** together. Next time there is a massive technical problem like this they need proper customer service and to get on top of it quicker.
I'm personally still waiting for the 'specialists' email to let me know the problem has been resolved, as was promised to me yesterday. Clearly it's not in time for me to utilize the coupon that crashed the cart in the first place.
Funny how my cart works today..... the day AFTER cyber Monday. Wasn't able to buy yesterday because I couldn't access my cart. Won't be buying at all now because the sales are over. Great job E TSY!
